This is my site for all things music, hobbies, & life! I love to chat and make friends! Thank you so much to Shye, without your template this page would nottt be possible haha, I've never coded a day in my life! Nevertheless, have fun poking around everyone!! I hope my additions are worthy of your time :p (Under Construction! ... Duh lol I don't speak latin)

ABOUT ME :)

You can call me Emiliano, or Emilio, (he/him). I'm 17, turning 18 soon. California boy, but not the beach/hollywood/city vers. More like cows/fields/suburb vers, otherwise known as psychic exile. I love a lot of different craft forms and music, which I'm making their own pages! My prized possesions are my headphones, my radio/CD/cassette player, my clocks, my sewing machine, my bass guitar Cherry, and my childhood cow plushie Moony. Fun facts about me: I play keyboard percussion (ie: marimba), I'm a prospective English major for teaching, and my room is a carefully curated explosion of color. Life-long casual minecraft player, fandom soldier, and little brother.

Why make a personal site?

I am one of many who has been Influenced by media, and, for once, it had a positive affect! Onio's video in which he discusses the indieweb is what drove me here, but I've wanted something like this for ages. My curiosity led me to his page, which is so lovely: the chat is so friendly, I'm a darn good fisherman now, and I'm getting repeatedly ragebaited by the minesweeper background (those misclicks, I swear!!). I started clicking on links, finding other pages, webrings, and resources. My subsequent discoveries have lured me into neocities and the world of code (place I swore I would never go with a gun). I've been fatigued by social media and regular online presences because, well. It sucks out there, man. I want to see real people interested in the real world, not bots hitting my line every other day. I'm really interested in having a place where I can just be.. me? I guess? There's not a lot of spaces in my life where I can just be honest. That's the plight of teenagehood, I suppose. Here, I want to just exist out in the world and find some other people worth existing with. Is that so much to ask for?

03/16/26-- played with color. i think i like this red/brown situation happening. maybe every page can be a different color pallete? who knows atp

03/14/26-- just played around with backgrounds and the font stylization for the header. not finished! i wanna try out a bunch of different combinations until i hit gold lol.. fucked up some other stuff too but i have. a vision!!!!! yesterday i wasted a bunch of time seeing if a static site generator would help me at all but it genuinely pissed me off and i dont think i'll be making so many changes after the intial ones that i'll need it.. hopefully I wont regret it bc holyyyyy shittttt that fuckass coding. ok bye ily.

03/10/26-- OK. uh. Today I worked on adding the music web player (winamp). It's not perfect but it works and I love it so much. I also tried to make the poll side but it was being so finnicky and I couldn't figure out what was wrong. At one point I got it so that the poll was visible and clickable but it wouldn't take you to the actual results or anything. Might be a problem with the host site? Idk. Anyway, while I was doing it, I wondered if I really wanted a poll that baad..... not really. I might ditch the idea since it's not one that I'll be keeping up with all that often haha. Also, fixed the right-side margin/border/wtv on the journal page. uhhh. cool yeah ily bye!!!!

03/08/26-- After a weekend away I was itching to get back to this! I changed the lato font to bentham (fannccyyy) and figured out how to edit more of the text height and sizing stuff so it's easier on the eyes. I finally figured out how to center the text boxes I wanted for the journal page (turns out, if you put the center BEFORE all the text u want centered,... it'll.... center it... RAGH. But it's working now so that's all that matters. I also widened the body of the page by a LOT so that reading is easier and it takes up more of the screen hurrah!! I feel very accomplished and proud to end it here for the night!

03/06/26-- Learned how to take some of the basic code from the original page and made a new file for what will hopefully be my personal blogging "journal" page. I got the embedded links working for both the journal page and the link up top back to the home page! Somehow that confused me before I guess. Ended up with a weird empty box next to the one that I added text to, and I played around with trying to align it fully to the header.... How tf??? um. Ok. After shuffling it around for a while I called it quits haha.

03/05/26-- Page created! I'm counting it as the fifth even though it was really late at night and was technically the 6th. But it counts as thurday. Used neocities' first time html guide and made some random shit, then started using another guide to learn how to do the header and some other stuff. By the time I got to css stuff, I sorta gave up a little and used a template (all my love to shye). Nevertheless, I didn't come here to code, I came here to have fun! And I have been lowkey coding anyway since html text has its own rules and challenges. I'm having fun :) I learned how to replace text for the page, replaced some of the images on the top links bar, and even linked my tumblr and favorite typing practice site! I also tried to make the background green, then ended up with green text... Oops! But I don't hate it lol.

-organize the media I want to catalogue maybe
-fix the music webplayer?
-figure out buttons
-apply for CDRing i heart them
-sitemap!!!! sometime...
-respace the navigation bar and marquee!! maybe add more link pages?
-actually MAKE the linkpages
-at a certain point I want to replace the scrollboxes/margin tables with images instead of the text, so that it'll redirect to pages with all that info
